22 Years of Woodworking Experience in Indonesia |
After shipping his first container from Indonesia in 1987, Dennis started shipping antiques from Java to Los Angeles to be restored and sold. In 1989 moved to Bali and set up a production facility in Surabaya. The antiques led to production of new furniture using original carvings and reclaimed wood. Over the next 14 years he designed, built and shipped over 600 containers of furniture to his store, Not So Far East Trading in Los Angeles. After the Surabaya factory burned down in 2003, he turned his attention to crafting floors with the same unique textures that were his trademark. Dennis lives with his Thai wife Saisuda and their two children in Bali and has production facilities for his Hand Hewn Floors and Komodo Kamado grills in Sidoarjo, East Java.
All products are custom made for your specific project. Dennis is also available to meet with your architect and designers in Bali to help design the perfect floor and or doors for you. From luxury hotels to commercial properties to private residences, he can recommend the best floors for each of these applications and brings 24 years of teak woodworking experience to the table.
